Showing off my Bulbs

My pink tulips have really grown and multiplied, and they are showing off well this year. It has been warm of late, but it looks like another cold front is coming through.

Spreading the Love

Gif and Marci came by today to take advantage of the suckering nature of my dogwood bushes. I was able to give them three small starts of Bailey Red Twig and Isanti dogwood, and two small starts of variegated dogwood. Today was clear but really too windy and cold to really enjoy being outside yet.

Relaxing After a Long Day

Today was the green waste pickup day in the neighborhood. So, Mark, Ben, Caleb, and I worked very hard to get about 10 wheelbarrows full of yard junk to the curb so our elder's quorum could haul them away. I don't know what I'll do if they ever stop having Spring Cleanup Day. Anyway, everything is looking green and beautiful outside. My lawn is looking about a million times better right now then it did last year, so I am feeling hopeful.

Time to Start Blogging!

Well, this year I don't have a wedding. I do need to get Ben's Eagle project done, but that shouldn't require too much time. So, my goal is to do a garden blog every Saturday.

We had a week of fairly nice weather, during which time my Star Magnolia buds started to open. Unfortunately, we had a freaky super cold spell move in after that, and it nipped all the buds. They are still opening, but they are tinged with brown frost damage. Darn! Last year it was so beautiful. Anyway, the daffodils are blooming and buds are swelling. Spring is here at last!
